UYGHUR DOLAN QUARTET SOUTHERN XINJIANG CHINA

The UYGHUR live predominantly in Xinjiang province or Chinese Turkestan, with 15 millions people. they are the largest Turkic ethnic group in Xinjiang. 80 % of Uyghur live in the southern part of Xinjiang : the TARIM basin.
The DOLAN are a subgroup of the Uyghurs, living on the edges of the TAKLAMAKAN desert, the 9 Dolan Muqam are different from the other Uyghur Muqam.
