The majority of the 20 millions Tajik people live in Afghanistan and Tajikistan, only 40 000 live in the southern part of Xinjiang, the Tajiks of China live in Pamir mountain area and speak the eastern Iranic Pamiri language.

Tracks 1 to 4 WEDDING MUSIC, the wedding ceremony starts at the house of the man for 3 days , while preparing the meat of the sheep, then move to the woman s family. this is recorded on the 3rd day at the man s family, involving 2 DAP players, 2 EAGLE FLUTE players and dancing people
