about

Called DAO DO by the Vietnamese (pronounced ZAO), YAO by the Chinese, they call themselves MIEN.
BAOZOO is an acappella love song, sung in canon, as responsive singing between a man or men and a woman or several women.
LI MAN MEI a 30 years old woman is a local star in BAOZOO singing on tracks 1 to 7. She started to sing BAOZOO at the age of 13, within the family, used in festivals, weddings but also in farm work, evenings and full moon gatherings where lovers start dating in the village. Words adapt to a fixed melody, suiting the circumstances and context.
