I first met Lê Huy Hoàng in 2006 in Hanoi, we could talk together a mixture of english and khmer and he had stories to tell ! Finally in September 2011 I recorded him with the help of Phạm Ngọc Dương in Hanoi, Hoang died in 2013. This is a soundscape with Hoàng s voice, fieldrecordings and my own music made with malimba, cymbals, small lute, mouthorgan and computer. finalized in 2019 in Berlin.
This story is essentailly for Vietnamese people, told in vietnamese language, targetting some dark sides of Vietnamese occupation of Cambodia.
