The vast majority of KAZAKH people live in Kazakhstan (12 millions) and a million and half live in the chinese province of Xinjiang, most of them in YILI prefecture

Tracks 1 to 28 performed by BALIHAN 67 years old is a SYBYZGY Kazakh flute specialist, they can be made out of bulrush, wood or bone, he s using different Sybyzgy flutes on these recordings. Recorded in Urumqi in October 2016.
