TIBETO BURMESE SHAMANISM IN CHINA, LAOS, THAILAND
Here are represented some shamanic practices from different sub groups of the ethno linguistic category of the Tibeto burmese, occupying most of Yunnan province from north to south, northern Laos and northern Thailand.More than just linguistic ties are noticeable among various Tibeto-burmese groups, animist practices of healing are shared by those ancient cultures previous to big religions moving in , this common term of BIMO describes different levels of shamanism, from just reading or reciting holy texts to more physical action.
